Mosaic7 Pictures (M7P) is an independent motion picture production company started in 2004 with it's very first feature film, "Occupation: HOLLYWOOD". This film went on to recieve the "Robert Rodriguez Award" at the Hollywood DV/HD Festival in 2005.
M7P is an extension of it's parent company, MOTIMEDIA, and was founded by writer/director, Marques T. Owens. In 2007, M7P took on their first music video, Killa Klump featuring former "Luniz" member, Yukmouth. The title of the song and video was, "Neck Straight" (White Tee) and the production was co-produced with Cinema Hill Motion Pictures. The next production in which Mosaic7 is mostly known for is a short film/promotional video entitled, "07-07-07" which was also co-produced with Cinema Hill. This short film featured the writer/director himself, Marques Owens, and D. Woods (former member of platinum selling pop group, Danity Kane). "07-07-07" served as a 'cinematic invitation' to a joint birthday event for both Owens and D. Woods, where M7P showcased some of their production skills at such a low budget. The 'cinematic invitation' is still spoken about today and furthermore, is a concept that many have attempted to emulate ever since.
Henceforth, Mosaic7 has embarked on many other productions, currently most notable is a year long documentary project for Oscar Award winning actor, Jamie Foxx and his company FoxxKing Entertainment. M7P has worked with and collaborated with such names as Samuel L. Jackson, Jake Gyllenhal, Forrest Whittaker, Ron Howard, Tyrese Gibson, Taraji P. Henson, T-Pain, Keyshia Cole, and more. From Music Videos, Short FIlms, Documentaries, to Feature Films... Mosaic7 Pictures strives to continue bringing you quality productions.
